Eating Disorders & Body Image

I am deeply passionate about helping individuals struggling with eating disorders and body image issues. I work with all ages and genders recovering from eating disorders - including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, rumination disorders, and ARFID.
I approach the healing process from eating disorders with a blend of empathy, evidence-based interventions, and a commitment to fostering a positive relationship with food and self-image.
What to Expect:
In our sessions, we will work collaboratively to explore underlying emotions, beliefs, and experiences that contribute to disordered patterns and negative self image.
I will teach you DBT techniques, evidence-based in the treatment of eating disorders, to help bridge the gap between elevated awareness (the “why” behind why one is struggling with an eating disorder, what perpetuates it, etc.) and achieving full recovery.
You will learn to increase mindfulness around disordered behaviors and patterns, which increases your ability to influence the moment differently - with recovery in mind.
I will teach you tangible coping skills to use along the way, including distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness skills. Eventually, disordered behaviors decrease and impulses cease to have power over you and your life.
I am also passionate about helping parents, spouses, and partners support their loved ones as they recover from eating disorders. Sometimes what feels like the “right” thing to do is not always right.
