My Approach
In our sessions together, we will focus on understanding YOU and the goals you want to achieve.
My approach is tailored to each client and their unique challenges. I utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques including DBT (dialectical behavior therapy) to help increase mindfulness around unhelpful, and sometimes destructive patterns.
I believe that change first begins with understanding and awareness. With awareness comes the opportunity to make thoughtful decisions that are best aligned with your long term goals and values.
If needed, I will teach you tangible skills along the way to help improve your ability to tolerate discomfort, regulate emotions, and improve relationship effectiveness.
I also use other therapeutic techniques, including CBT (cognitive behavior therapy) to help change unhelpful thought patterns that are not serving your well-being, values, and goals. Additional approaches to therapy include attachment-based, family systems, and solution focused therapies.
